<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of a cartridge for housing a disk in a recording and reproducing device capable of determining the loading of a disk in the recording and reproducing device even when a drive is in a power cutoff state. <P>SOLUTION: In the recording and reproducing device, when the medium identification information of a disk loaded in a drive is reproduced by a pick, a control circuit provided in the drive moves a guide lever 24a integrated with an identifier 23 by the pressing force of an identifier pressing spring 29, performs control to freely insert and engage an engaging projection 25 with a free insertion hole 24b during the movement, and displays the identifier 23 within the visibly recognizable range of a window part 22 irrespective of power turning-on of the drive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
