<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifreeze/coolant composition excellent in a swelling suppression effect of rubber parts constituting a cooling system. <P>SOLUTION: The antifreeze/coolant composition includes: a base composed of a mixture of one or more kinds selected from among water, alcohols, glycols and glycol ethers; and aliphatic monobasic acids and salts of them contained in the base, wherein a swelling suppression additive which includes a sulfur-containing alcohol or a sulfur-containing phenol having at least one sulfur atom in the molecule is added into the antifreeze/coolant composition and a pH value of the composition is set in the range of 6.0 to 9.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
