<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge concentration device with improved filtration efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: Sludge introduced into the inside of a drum screen 1 equipped with a plurality of filtration portions 1b, communicating inside and outside, on the almost cylindrical peripheral wall, is sent to the outlet side while being brought into contact with the inner surface of the drum screen 1 by transfer blades 3 installed on the inner surface of the drum screen 1 according to the rotation of the drum screen 1, and filtered and concentrated in the filtration portions 1b. Sludge masses 5 sliding on the inner surface of the drum screen 1 is agitated by agitating members 4 installed on the inner surface of the drum screen 1 during the sending of the sludge, which raises high-concentration sludge in the lower part subjected to filtration and concentration and allows low-concentration sludge in the upper part to come into contact with the inner surface of the drum screen 1, thereby improving filtration efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
