PHASE DIFFERENCE INTEGRATED TYPE COMPOSITE POLARIZING PLATE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which has excellent display quality and is flat and free of peeling even under a humidification or heating condition, and a phase difference integrated type composite polarizing plate which is disposed on both sides of a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display device to reduce curvature and distortion.

SOLUTION: The phase difference integrated type composite polarizing plate has a protection film laminated on at least one surface of a polarizer formed of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film, and has (n) layers of phase difference films with (n) layers of an adhesive interposed on the other surface when the protection film is laminated on one surface of the polarizer or outside one protection film when protection films are laminated on both the surfaces of the polarizer, and the adhesive is disposed even outside the phase difference film farthest from the polarizer to form (n+1) layers of the adhesive in total, the storage modulus G' of the fist adhesive counted from the polarizer side at an angular frequency of 0.1 (1/sec.) at 85°C being smaller than those of the second and above adhesives, where (n) is an integer of not less than 1.
