<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor, capable of suppressing the change in sensor output associated with temperature change of a sensor element or a gas to be measured to reduce the degradation of measuring accuracy caused by the change in sensor output. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas sensor 100, the sensor element 101 includes: a reference electrode 42 which is provided on the first main surface side of a predetermined solid electrolyte layer and contacts with a reference gas that is used as a reference of oxygen concentration in concentration measurement of a predetermined gas component; and a measuring electrode 44 which is provided on the second main surface side of the solid electrolyte layer and can reduce an oxide gas component in the predetermined gas, so that a sensor output with a potential difference between the reference electrode 42 and the measuring electrode 44 as a control index can be obtained. The measuring electrode 44 and the reference electrode 42 have a predetermined overlap as viewed from the thickness direction of the solid electrolyte layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
