PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary diaphragm pump having improved reliability and reduced power consumption by preventing excessive stress on a diaphragm even when increasing the capacity of a pump chamber. SOLUTION: In the rotary diaphragm pump 1, an eccentric cam 30 and the diaphragm 6 are connected to each other so that the internal capacity of the pump chamber 2 is forcibly increased to actualize a great discharge amount when the diaphragm 6 is pulled inside in the radial direction. In the diaphragm 6, a deformation preventing slit 61 is formed to prevent an angle range where a protruded strip portion 65 (a partition wall) is formed in the peripheral direction, from being pulled inside in the radial direction by the eccentric cam 30. This avoids the outer peripheral face of the diaphragm 6 where the protruded strip portion 65 is formed, from being pulled inside in the radial direction, when a site where the diaphragm 6 is pulled inside in the radial direction reaches the angle range where the protruded strip portion 65 is formed in the peripheral direction.
