AMELIORATING AGENT FOR NEUROGENIC PAIN

The object aims to provide a substance which can be used as an active ingredient for ameliorating neurogenic pain through a novel mechanism of action that is different from those of conventional ones and, therefore, provide a neurogenic pain-ameliorating agent which does not have adverse side effects similar to those of conventional ones. Disclosed is an ameliorating agent for neurogenic pain caused by a hyperalgesic response. The ameliorating agent is characterized by comprising, as an active ingredient, a lyase capable of decomposing a chondroitin-sulfate chain in a chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan, typically chondroitinase ABC which can selectively remove chondroitin sulfate and dermatan sulfate of proteoglycan.
