The inventive continuous fibre made of rocks is characterised in that it has, during combined thread drawing, a breakage rate less than 1 break per 20 kg of drawn fiber. The method for producing a continuous fiber involves maintaining the temperature of a melt surface in a furnace within a range of 1550-1600°C, the temperature of a melt surface in a feeder within a range of 1480-1530°C and removing the melt from the feeder bottom though a slit which is made in the feeder bottom in the form a strap with a temperature of 1350-1400°C. A ceramic spinneret feeder holder is adjoined to the feeder bottom, which holder is provided with a longitudinal opening, the dimensions of which correspond to the dimensions of the feeder slit and the transverse section of which corresponds to the transverse section of the spinneret feeder. The melt comes through the longitudinal opening at the ribbed and flat electrically heated perforated screens of the spinneret feeder, wherein the melt is repeatedly divided by said screens into the plurality of jets moving at different angles, wherein the melt temperature is maintained in a range of 1280-1320°C up to a spinneret plate surface.
