The present invention relates to a storage container, in particular to a dispensing and storage container for pills, having a plurality of compartments (5) in a rotatable body portion (9), each compartment (5) being safely covered by a top cover (1) and a bottom cover (2) until it is moved into a dispensing position that provides access to one complete compartment (5) at a time through an opening (3). The top cover (1) and the bottom cover (2) are kept together by a locking means (15) and they enclose the body portion (9).
