A control channel transmission method, a base station and a terminal wherein the total throughput can be improved without lowering the transmission efficiency of a data channel. There are included a step of selecting one of control channel formats having different information amounts in accordance with predetermined conditions; and a step of transmitting a control channel by use of the selected control channel format.
