<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a method for manufacturing a display device, restraining a change in threshold voltage due to aged drive of a driving element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pixel 30 includes: a first selection transistor for driving an organic EL element 21; a second selection transistor Tr12 and a light emitting driving transistor Tr13. A light shielding film 33 is formed in an area opposite to a transistor contributing to the switching operation on the upper surface of an interlayer insulating film 35 formed on the transistor. Thus, light emitted from an organic EL element and external light hardly enters the transistor which performs the switching operation, and the light enters the light emitting driving transistor Tr13. This incidence of light restrains a change in threshold voltage due to aged drive of the transistor Tr13 affecting the quantity of light emitted of the organic EL element 21.
