PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable compression ratio device improving fuel economy and output by changing the compression ratio of air fuel mixture according to operation conditions of an engine and further improving fuel economy by setting each stroke travel different in suction, compression, explosion and exhaust strokes. SOLUTION: This variable compression ratio device installed on the engine and changing compression ratio of air fuel mixture includes: an upper part connecting rod transmitting combustion force of air fuel mixture; a lower part connecting rod rotatably connected to the upper part connecting rod and rotated by combustion force of the air fuel mixture transmitted from the upper part connecting rod; a crankshaft eccentrically rotatably installed on the upper part connecting rod; a control rod of which one end is rotatably connected to the lower part connecting rod another end to change rotation locus of the lower part connecting rod; and a control shaft which is eccentrically rotatably connected to another end of the control rod to change position of another end of the control rod.
