PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of affecting communications with no other external apparatuses, even if there is a trouble in some of external apparatuses among a plurality of external connected apparatuses. SOLUTION: The electronic device comprises receptacles 61D, 62D, and 63D in which cables 61, 62, and 63 connected to external apparatuses 3, 4, and 5 are inserted, a CPU 16 for performing communications of CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) standard with the external apparatuses 3, 4, and 5, CEC control lines 61C, 62C, and 63C for connecting CEC control lines 61A, 62A, and 63A in the cables 61, 62 and 63 to the CPU 16 through a wired OR manner, a plurality of switches SW_0-SW_2 arranged on the CEC control lines 61C and 62C and 63C and for switching independently on/off of electrical connection of the CEC control lines 61A, 62A, and 63A in the cables 61, 62 and 63 with the CPU 16, and the CPU 16 for switching on/off of each of the switches independently.
