<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission case capable of suppressing cost by eliminating the necessity for equipping a housing with slits, while being secured in favorable stress concentration when an impact load is applied. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission case 1 has a converter housing 2 which has a plurality of ribs 7 on the inside surface 2B and a groove 5A having a recess 5a, a thin wall 5e, and a bulged portion 5c. When an impact load is applied to the transmission case 1, a stress concentration is generated in the thin wall 5e by at least one 7A of the plurality of ribs 7. This eliminates the use of a shield material to allow the suppression of the cost compared with a conventional arrangement in which slits are formed in the converter housing 2 and a shield material to stop up the slits is installed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
