<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically regulate expansion and contraction of a flexible actuator of a steering device due to external force using a feed screw mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a motor 36 is driven, rotation of a rotation shaft 45 is converted to expansion and contraction motion of an output rod 33 by the feed screw mechanism 39 to change a toe-in angle of wheels connected to the output rod 33. While the motor 36 stops and the toe-in angle of the wheels is retained, a friction material 98 having elasticity and provided at a housing 32 is abutted on the output rod 33 to slide by applying set load to stop movement of the output rod 33 caused by load inversely transmitted from the wheel side using static friction force generated by the friction material 98, preventing unintentional expansion and contraction of the output rod 33 to prevent the toe-in angle of the wheels from becoming unstable. It is not necessary to prevent expansion and contraction of the output rod 33 by sending retained current to the motor 36 at that time, therefore, power consumption of the motor 36 is not increased.
