<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimp terminal capable of obtaining sure mechanical connectivity and electrical connectivity even if it is a thin-wired conductor part, and to provide a designing method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The crimp terminal 1 has a wire barrel part 10 for crimping a conductor 102 of a covered electric wire 100. Seven element wires 102a having the tensile strength equal to or more than that of pure copper-made plate or of 600 MPa or more to constitute the wire barrel part 10 are bundled, and the crimp width W of the wire barrel part 10 for crimping the conductor 102 having a cross-sectional area S of 0.066 mm<SP>2</SP>set to the width that satisfies a mathematical expression (1): (wherein W: the crimp width; S: the cross-sectional area of the conductor part; n: the number of element wires; and t: the thickness of the wire barrel piece 12 before being crimped) so that the element wires 102a are stably crimped and arranged in an approximately two-staged shape in the crimping direction Z.
