摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the reception of the power of a power storage device from a feeder line at an adequate timing without being affected by the fluctuation of the received voltage of a transformer station for an electric railroad vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control device 53 calculates the reference discharge voltage V<SB>D</SB>(t)* and the reference charge voltage V<SB>C</SB>(t)* on the real time manner based on the rectifier output voltage V(t) detected by a voltage detector 44 and the rectifier output current I(t) detected by a current detector 45. When the line voltage V detected by the voltage detector 54 is below the reference discharge voltage V<SB>D</SB>(t)*, the control device 53 controls a power converter 52 so that the feeder voltage V is kept at the value not lower than the lower limit value of its rated range by the discharge power from a power storage medium 51. Further, when the feeder voltage V is above the reference charge voltage V<SB>C</SB>(t)*, the control device controls the power converter 52 so that the power regenerative energy generated when applying the brake of an electric railroad vehicle is absorbed by the discharge power to the power storage medium 51.
