PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrostatic charge image developing toner which is superior in printing durability and thin-line reproducibility not only in a normal-temperature, normal-humidity environment, but also in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment. SOLUTION: Disclosed are: the electrostatic charge image developing toner which includes colored polymer particles containing a polymer component, a coloring agent, a charge control a gent, and a releasing agent, the releasing agent being a polyfunctional ester compound and the charge control agent being a charge control resin; and the method of manufacturing the same. Here, when a surface state is analyzed through flight time type secondary ion mass spectrometry using Bi<SB>3</SB>++ as a primary ion, a standardized value of peak intensity of a long-chain alkyl fatty acid residue with C10-25 detected a s a negative secondary ion is 1.5 to 10.0 times as large as a corresponding standardized value measured when acid cleaning is carried out under a condition of pH6.0, and the content of metal atoms is 1 to 150 ppm.
