<p>The present invention concerns a seat structure for a gravity folding armchair comprising a frame (3) that extends from a support base (4), a seating surface (5) and at least one armrest (7 A, 7B)5 said seating surface (5) being supported by said frame (3) such that it is movable from a folded position (Cl), in which said seating surface (5) has a minimum profile position, to an unfolded position (C2), in which said seating surface (5) is able to ergonomically receive a user, said at least one armrest (7 A, 7B) being adapted to be tipped down from a folded, minimum profile position to a tipped-down position (C4), in which said armrest extends from said frame (3) to act as a support for a user's arm. The structure is characterized in that it comprises guide means (9) for guiding said at least one armrest (7 A, 7B) between a lower position (H) and an upper position (H') relative to said support base (4), said at least one armrest (7 A, 7B) being operably associated to said seating surface (5) via first kinematic means (10) to control the displacement of said at least one armrest (7A5 7B) from said lower position (H) to said upper position (H') as said seating surface (5) moves from said folded position (Cl) to said unfolded position (C2) and vice versa, so that when said seating surface (5) is in said unfolded position (C2), said armrest (7 A, 7B) is in said upper position (H') and in said tipped-down position (C4).</p> |
