<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording material excellent in ink absorption property, printing quality, and glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an ink jet recording material including at least one layer of inorganic fine particles and a hydrophilic binder on a support body comprises steps of coating a coating liquid for a pre-dissolution coated layer containing calcium carbonate fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter of 500 nm or smaller and inorganic fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter of 500 nm or smaller not dissolved in an acid aqueous solution on the support body, drying the coating liquid to form the pre-dissolution coating layer and furthermore dissolving the calcium carbonate fine particles in the acid aqueous solution to form the ink receiving layer so that the thickness thereof after being dried can be 5 μm or thicker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
