摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perovskite oxide superior in piezoelectric performance. <P>SOLUTION: A process is provided for producing a perovskite oxide having a composition expressed by general formula: (Ba,Bi,A)(Ti,Fe,M)O<SB>3</SB>. In the formula, Ba, Bi and A are A-site elements; Ti, Fe and M are B-site elements; and A and M represent one or more metal elements other than Pb. The composition is determined so as to satisfy conditions expressed by inequalities, 0.98&le;TF(P)&le;1.02 and TF(BiFeO<SB>3</SB>)<TF(AMO<SB>3</SB>)<TF(BaTiO<SB>3</SB>). In the inequalities, TF(P) represents the tolerance factor of an oxide expressed by the above general formula; and TF(BiFeO<SB>3</SB>), TF(AMO<SB>3</SB>) and TF(BaTiO<SB>3</SB>) are respectively the tolerance factors of oxides in parentheses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
