<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive temperature rise due to heat generated from an ultrasonic probe and an image pickup device in an ultrasonic endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: This ultrasonic endoscope includes: an ultrasonic transducer part including a plurality of ultrasonic transducers for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, and a backing material provided on the back of the plurality of ultrasonic transducers and having a plurality of signal terminals provided on a surface opposite to the plurality of ultrasonic transducers; a signal line holding part including a highly heat conducting filler filling a space holding a group of shield lines electrically connected to the plurality of ultrasonic transducers via the plurality of signal terminals, and coupled to the backing material; and a highly heat conducting layer provided in contact with the signal line holding part, and thereby coupled to the signal line holding part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
