PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure property variation of light emitting elements and to compensate for the property variation of the light emitting element.

SOLUTION: A control part 15 controls a switch 121 so that an anode line La is set to a ground potential and selects pixels 11_11 to 11_m1. A select driver 14 outputs a Hi level signal to a select line Ls11 and a Lo level signal to a select line Ls1n. Constant current circuits 132-1 to 132-m respectively supply a constant current to organic EL elements 111 of the pixels 11_11 to 11_m1 through data line Ld11to Ld1m respectively and ADC133-1 to 133-m measure voltage VEL of each organic EL element 111. DAC135-1 to 135-m respectively write voltage data that correcting circuits 134-1 to 134-m have obtained on the basis of measured voltage VEL between the gate and the source of a transistor T3 using a write voltage Vd.
