<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct a machine difference of view angle dependency even after manufacturing a liquid crystal panel without increase in the number of manufacturing steps of the liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises display pixels P(i and j). Each of the display pixels includes respectively a first sub-pixel P1(i, j) and a second sub-pixel P2 (i, j), each of the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel includes a first liquid crystal capacitance formed with a liquid crystal sandwiched between a common electrode and a pixel electrode, and an auxiliary capacitance formed with a solid dielectric material sandwiched between the pixel electrode and an auxiliary capacitance line, and either the first sub-pixel or the second sub-pixel includes a step-down capacitance formed with a solid dielectric material sandwiched between the pixel electrode and a step-down capacitance line.
