PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for demoting color data associated with at least one entity, wherein the entity includes at least one sub-entity. SOLUTION: The at least one sub-entity may be marked as demotable, if the color data associated with the at least one sub-entity is demotable. The at least one entity may be marked as demotable, if all sub-entities enclosed in the at least one entity are demotable. The color data of at least one marked rasterizable entity may be demoted, wherein the at least one marked rasterizable entity may be selected from a set including marked entities and marked sub-entities.
