PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular additive for preventing the occurrence of clinker that is suitably used in a waste incinerator and a fluidized bed boiler, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The granular additive contains a clinker adhesion inhibiting component, and has an average particle size of 0.1-5.5 mm, a bulk specific gravity of 1.0-5.0, and crushing strength of 9.8-98 N, and may contain a binder component and/or a moisture absorbing component. The granular additive is used singularly or by being mixed in fuel, waste, or fluid sand, and injected into a furnace. The method of manufacturing the granular additive granulates a raw material containing the clinker adhesion inhibiting component and the binder component with a pumice having an average particle size of 0.1-5 mm as the nucleus.
