<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens assembly capable of always keeping the inside of a lens frame in a suitable dry state by arranging moisture absorbing material without causing upsizing of the lens frame, and to provide an imaging apparatus equipped with the lens assembly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A receiving part 101 comprising a plurality of projections 101A projecting inward from an inner wall of a hollow part 100 of a lens frame 10 and formed intermittently in a circumferential direction to make a round about an optical axis of a lens, and receiving the periphery of the lens 11 fit in the hollow part 100 is provided in the lens frame 10. By making effective use of the provided receiving part 101, a moisture absorbing member 102 having a plurality of lump parts 102B respectively arranged in recesses 101B formed between the projections 101A, and a coupling ring 102C passing inside the plurality of projections 101A and coupling the plurality of lump parts over a round is fit therein.
