<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of ejecting paper by reversing the paper with a simple constitution without requiring a special power mechanism, without causing an enlargement and a large cost increase. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 10 includes a paper ejecting roller 34 as " a carrying part " for carrying the image-formed paper 40 so as to eject from a paper ejecting port 42, and a locking part 72 arranged in the middle of a paper ejecting passage Z and locking a chip part 40a in the ejecting direction of the paper 40, and a straight line distance L2 between the paper ejecting roller 34 and the locking part 72 is set shorter than the length L1 in the ejecting direction of the paper 40. Thus, the paper 40 ejected from the paper ejecting port 42 is forcibly deflected between the locking part 72 and the paper ejecting roller 34, and the paper 40 after being released from the paper ejecting roller 34 is placed on a paper receiving part 22 by rotating (that is, reversing) by dead weight and restoring force.
