<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce various types of porous films varied in size and shape of a porous area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: After a second application liquid 36 is applied to a support 12 and dried, a first application liquid 35 is applied thereon. On the applied first application liquid 35, a third application liquid 37 consisting of water is supplied in droplets using an inkjet application unit 55. An area supplied with the droplets is made into a porous area. Next, an organic solvent is evaporated from the film and the droplets are evaporated from the film of the first application liquid 35. Thus, the porous film having multiple apertures aligned in the porous area is obtained. Since the droplets are directly formed by an inkjet printing method, a condensation process and a droplet growing process are unnecessary, and the porous film is produced efficiently.
