PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for restricting unnecessary electric continuity to the apparatus, by allowing a user to recognize that an electronic file to be used has been erased even in power interruption to the apparatus or a necessary electronic file will be erased at the time of usage of the apparatus after next turn-on of the power supply. SOLUTION: When the power supply is turned off (YES in S100), an automatic erasure file list or an erasure schedule file list is displayed on an electronic paper 108 (S102-S114) according to the display settings made beforehand by the user.
