A switching power supply apparatus wherein heat generation from a power supply is suppressed to improve efficiency of conversion during power supply operation and only a current which flows through a load is detected correctly to moreover stabilize control. Since a fourth inductor (25d) and a second inductor (25b) functioning as current paths of AC outputs to be supplied to the load (28) are not contained in a first closed loop formed of a fourth diode (27d), a third inductor (25c), and a fourth electronic switch (24d) and a second closed loop formed of a second diode (27b), a first inductor (25a), and a second electronic switch (24b), unnecessary current flows through neither the first nor second closed loops.
