<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desktop cutting machine with small size and light weight, for cutting a thick material. <P>SOLUTION: The desktop cutting machine is provided with: a motor 51 for driving a cutting blade 7; a base part for supporting a wood material W; a cutting part 4 provided on the base part, rotatably supporting the cutting blade 7 above the base part and approaching/leaving the cutting blade 7 relative to the base part; and a support part connected to the base part and movably supporting the cutting part 4. The cutting part 4 has a transmission mechanism 4D for transmitting motive power of the motor 51 to the cutting blade 7; and a gear case 4B covering the transmission mechanism 4D and having a lower surface part 4E opposed to an upper surface 22B of the base part, and the transmission mechanism 4D has: a spindle 43A for concentrically supporting the cutting blade 7; and a cutting blade fixing part provided with a flange 44 for fixing the cutting blade to the spindle 43A. In the state where the cutting blade 7 is perpendicular to the upper surface 22B, a distance between the lower surface part 4E and the upper surface 22B is the same as or longer than a distance between an end surface at the base part side of the flange 44 and the upper surface 22B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
