PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mop storage container which is excellent in stability on floor surface installation without easily falling even when it is installed on a non-flat installation surface and a mop is stored. SOLUTION: The mop storage container is safely designed so that when a mop with a handle is stored inside a container body 1, an angleθformed by a straight line GS connecting the composite centroid G of the mop storage container and the mop with the handle and a fulcrum S at which a pedestal part 2 is swung and a vertical line P passing through the fulcrum S satisfies formula:θ>θ<SB>A</SB>orθ≥θ<SB>M</SB>, whereinθ<SB>A</SB>is an allowable inclination angle andθ<SB>M</SB>is a maximum allowable inclination angle.
