<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed scroll having an easy-to-form discharge port which can discharge gas from a compression chamber as much as possible and whose fixed convolution wall has excellent strength. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixed scroll 18 is composed of a fixed base board 19, a fixed convolution wall 20 erected on the fixed base board 19, and a circumferential wall 181 fitted to a motor housing 14. A compression chamber 21 is formed between a movable convolution wall 17 and the fixed convolution wall 20 and between the mating surface 191 of the fixed base board 19 and the mating surface 161 of a movable base board 16. The discharge port 24 penetrating the fixed base board 19 is formed from a circular hole 27 formed at the back face 192 of the fixed base board 19 and a recess 28 to serve as an inlet to be opened in the mating surface 191 of the fixed base board 19. The circular hole 27 communicates with the recess 28 to serve as an inlet. The recess 28 is die-molded simultaneously with the die molding of the fixed scroll 18. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
