<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device capable of getting rid of a leak of a working fluid from a bearing opening even if an impact is applied in the axial direction from the outside of a spindle motor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cover 5 which covers a sleeve via a gap in the axial direction and arranged so as to face the outer peripheral cylindrical surface of a shaft 1 via a gap in the radial direction is fixed over a sleeve 2 whose one end is closed. A communication hole 6 which makes the depth part of a bearing communicated with the outside is formed at the sleeve 2. A flow control part 8 which is formed so as to prevent the working fluid which is jetted out from the communication hole 6 from going toward a gap in the radial direction and stands up on the cover 5 is inserted into the communication hole 6.
