<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter allowing a cover to be held surely and to be opened and closed easily with respect to a remote control transmitter mainly used for operation of various electronic devices. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Two or more engagement projections 14A, 14B are formed in symmetry on the front and rear of an almost U-shaped engagement claw 14 of an edge portion of a cover 13, which covers a storing unit 11A of a case 11, and they are engaged with engagement portions 11C, 11D of an inner bottom portion of the case 11. In this way, the engagement projections 14A, 14B do not comes off from the engagement portions 11C, 11D through some force, and the cover 13 can be held surely. When the cover 13 is opened for battery replacement, the cover 13 can be opened or closed easily only by rotating the top of the engagement nail 14 in the remote control transmitter.
