<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump device capable of improving a heating capacity in comparison with a conventional gas injection cycle, and exerting a sufficient heating capacity even in a cold district having the outside air of -10°C or less. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat pump device comprises a temperature sensor 16a for detecting a temperature of a refrigerant discharged from a compressor 3, and a control means for controlling an opening of an expansion valve 14 so that a temperature of the refrigerant detected by the temperature sensor 16a is agreed with a target value of a predetermined discharge temperature.
