<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift tendency determining device for a bar-handle vehicle not influenced by a change in a diameter of a wheel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lift tendency determining device consists of: a vehicle body speed estimating section 113 estimating a vehicle body speed V from a front wheel speed V<SB>F</SB>; a deceleration calculating section 121 calculating the deceleration A of a vehicle body from the vehicle body speed V, a deceleration determining section 122 determining whether the deceleration A exceeds the minimum deceleration threshold value A<SB>0</SB>or not; a wheel speed difference calculating section 114 calculating the speed difference D<SB>R-V</SB>between the vehicle body speed V and a rear wheel speed V<SB>R</SB>, a variation amount calculating section 115 calculating a wheel speed difference variation amount ΔD from the values of the speed difference D<SB>R-V</SB>of this time and the last time; and a lift tendency determining section 151 determining that the rear wheel is on the lift tendency when it is determined that the deceleration A exceeds the prescribed minimum deceleration threshold value A<SB>0</SB>by the deceleration determining section 122 and a time in which the wheel speed difference variation amount ΔD exceeds a variation amount threshold value ΔD1<SB>th</SB>comes to a lift tendency determining timer threshold value TM3<SB>th</SB>or more.
