The door has a door handle, door sheet metal (5) and an opening arranged within a region of the door handle for passage of connecting and/or mounting elements. A bearing bracket (3) is formed for receiving the door handle and fixed inside of the door sheet metal. A section of the bearing bracket is enclosed by a retaining plate (7), which is firmly connected with the door sheet metal. The retaining plate encloses an end region of the bearing bracket, where the retaining plate covers two corners (11) of the bearing bracket.
