<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently differentiating a breed of cattle which is a base of beef using actually commercially available beef as a testing material, wherein in the case where meat of a first generation of crossbreed or Holstein cattle which has a high production volume and high possibility as object of imitative deception such as false labeling is sold as meat derived from a japanese black cattle, the method can differentiate the beef from meat derived from non-japanese black cattle. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is the method for differentiating whether the test cattle is a japanese black cattle or not by detecting the gene DNA of the test cattle through a gene amplification method using one or more kinds of specific polymorphism markers in gene polymorphisms as an index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
