<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting fixture capable of improving utilization efficiency of irradiation light irradiated from a light source bulb. <P>SOLUTION: In this vehicular lighting fixture equipped with a reflector in which an opening to be inserted with a light source bulb and the light source bulb inclined downward at a prescribe angle to a horizontal plane and mounted to the reflector, a pair of right and left reflecting surfaces disposed respectively on both right and left sides of the longitudinal direction of the light source bulb are provided, and the reflecting surfaces are elliptical reflecting surfaces to form a prescribed light distribution pattern by reflecting irradiation light irradiated from the light source bulb. Each of a pair of the right and left reflecting surfaces acting as the elliptical reflecting surfaces is composed of a plurality of elliptical arc-shaped reflecting surfaces appearing on cutting-planes sectioned by inclined planes inclining downward at a prescribed angle to a horizontal plane and planes parallel to the inclined planes, and a plurality of parabolic reflecting surfaces appearing on cutting-planes sectioned by vertical planes including virtual light rays from the light source bulb which are reflected by the elliptical arc-shaped reflecting surfaces appearing on the cutting-planes by the inclined planes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
