<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system comprising an amplifier for television broadcast signal and a power unit supplying electric power thereto, the amplifier being supplied with the electric power by using the power unit and another power generation means in combination and the power unit accurately detecting abnormality occurring to the amplifier side. <P>SOLUTION: When a supply voltage in a booster 4 is normal, the booster 4 transmits a tone signal to the power unit 6, and the power unit 6 determines that abnormality occurs to the side of the booster 4 when not receiving the tone signal, determines an open circuit/short circuit from a load current and an output voltage, and displays a determination result on a display section 38.
