摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, with which the liquid crystal display device having high deflective strength can be stably manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: An irradiation area for first laser light of a base substrate having a plurality of liquid crystal display devices 30 partitioned thereon and obtained by sticking a pair of glass substrates 1 and 11 to each other is irradiated with second laser light which has light transmitting property with respect to at least one of the glass substrates 1 and 11 and has a laser intensity lower than that of the first laser light for dividing the base substrate and does not divide the pair of glass substrates 1, 11, in a state wherein the pair of substrates are stuck to each other, whereby films having absorption coefficients for the first laser light higher than those of the glass substrates are removed in the irradiation area for the first laser light in a state that the pair of the glass substrates are stuck to each other without dividing the pair of glass substrates 1 and 11. Thereafter, the base substrate is divided into the plurality of liquid crystal display devices 30 by irradiating the base substrate with the first laser light having light transmitting property with respect to the base substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
