<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an FPD electrode on which an inexpensive and highly precise pattern can be formed and which is formed as a thin film on a glass substrate with high adhesive strength. <P>SOLUTION: This electrode forming material for a flat panel display contains (A) aluminum powder, (B) glass powder containing 10-50 wt.% metal oxide whose standard electrode potential is lower than the standard electrode potential of aluminum, and having a softening point of 350-700°C, (C) an alkali-soluble resin, and (D) solvent.
