<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a positive charging toner that can exhibit stable charge characteristics. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The positive charging toner consisting principally of a polyester resin is produced by preparing a base particle suspension containing base particles containing the polyester resin and having a conductivity not higher than 70 μS/cm; mixing the base particle suspension with a charge control resin microparticle suspension; causing the charge control resin microparticles to adhere to the surfaces of the base particles to produce toner base particles; and washing the toner base particles.
