[Class 20 (i).] A traffic post for roads of the type in which light-reflecting units are secured to upright posts has the post formed of metal, concrete or the like with wood, or wood-screw or nail receiving material incorporated with it to which the signs are fixed. The metal tubular post 1 is stopped with a cap 3, 4 of wood and is provided with series of holes 14 for the reception of wood screws or spikes passing through lugs 12 in the sign frame 7. The inner surface of the sign frame is curved to rest upon the surface of the post, and the reflecting lenses 8 are held in the metal casing 9 by internal washers soldered to the casing. The casing is rectangular and preferably of sufficient size to hold a number of reflectors and there are two casings fixed to each post, one fixed and the other adjustable. For concrete posts the wooden inserts 15 are incorporated in the post during the moulding operation being provided with projecting lugs for that purpose. |
