The valve drive (2) has a roller cam follower (20) attached to gas shuttle valves e.g. inlet valve (8) and outlet valve, of an internal-combustion engine. A roller (22) is attached with two cam lobes (14, 16) that are arranged on a cam lobe carrier (12). The cam lobe carrier is axially movable along a cam shaft, and exhibits different cam lobe contours (28, 30). A swivelable axis (18) of the roller cam follower and a rotational axis (40) of the roller are inclined under an angle of inclination (beta) in reference to a rotational axis (32) of the cam shaft and/or the cam lobe carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for removal processing of a cam lobe on a cam lobe carrier that is rotatable around a rotational axis.
