PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supporting a synchronous hybride automatic repeat request in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to increase the efficiency of resource usage by allow a resource in a sub-frame where a collision is expected to be used. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for supporting a synchronous hybride automatic repeat request in a broadband wireless communication system are comprised of the steps: estimating a possibility of collision between resources for an HARQ response and an HARQ retransmission packet through the resource and synchronous HARQ; allotting a collision packet ID to a HARQ subburst corresponding to the HARQ response or HARQ retransmission packet where the collision is estimated; and generating a(MAP) message including at least one of the collision packet ID and the changed Offset information. |
