STORAGE WATER HEATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat exchange efficiency of a heat pump unit by utilizing expansion water discharged from a hot water storage tank when hot water in the hot water storage tank is heated in a storage water heating system adapted to heat hot water in the hot water storage tank using the heat pump unit.

SOLUTION: This storage water heating system 1 includes: a hot water storage tank 2 storing hot water; a heat pump unit 3 for heating hot water; a relief valve 14 for discharging expansion water from the hot water storage tank 2 when hot water is heated; and a drain hose 15 for distributing the expansion water discharged through the relief valve 14 to an air-refrigerant heat exchanger 31 of the heat pump unit 3. The expansion water discharged through the relief valve 14 is distributed to the air-refrigerant heat exchanger 31 of the heat pump unit 3 through the drain hose 15, and the ambient temperature of the air-refrigerant heat exchanger 31 is lowered by heat of vaporization when the distributed expansion water is vaporized so that the heat exchange efficiency of the heat pump unit 3 is improved.
