<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, a control method and a program which can increase a probability of obtaining an exposure that is as good as a photographer expected. <P>SOLUTION: A camera includes a camera body 1 having a control unit 41, an interchangeable lens 2, and a flash unit 3. The control unit 41 sets a coefficient limiting a photometric area as an object of extraction of a reference value BaseR of a photometric area having a maximum ratio of a luminance value right before pre-lighting and a luminance value in the pre-lighting according to face position information obtained by a signal processing circuit 43 prior to an exposing operation. The control unit 41 compares the value of the ratio of the luminance value right before the pre-lighting and the luminance value in the pre-lighting with the reference value BaseR extracted according to the set coefficient, and computes a light emission quantity of a light emission unit 34 in the exposing operation based upon a comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
